rapidea ® Multi Ring Areas Oase - Example Tempelhofer Feld Berlin

Multi Ring area oases are a sustainable contribution to the regeneration of the ecological system and to the protection of the climate. Ring area oases also meet general social demands for the use of space. As shown in the planning example for Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin (see sketch above), multi ring area oases consisting of at least six sub-areas can be realized even in densely built-up urban areas. In order to turn the airport operation (13), which has a lasting impact on the environment, into a ring area oasis that protects the environment in a sustainable way, a lake (1) is planned in the core area. This is surrounded by a ring-shaped natural area (2). This is protected by a ring-shaped area (3) with cultivation options for regional fruit, vegetables and other plants in high-bay plantations. This is in turn protected by a ring-shaped area (4) on which regional edible fish, mussels, etc. are bred in high-bay aquariums in symbiosis with the high-bay plantations on (3). On another ring-shaped area (5) there is a navigable lake, which is connected to the city's waterway network (12), (14) via canals (10) and (11) that are laid over existing green spaces, disused streets and railway tracks. All of the above areas are surrounded by another ring-shaped green area (6), which is a park with hiking trails (9), children's playgrounds (fountain (7), climbing tower (8)), underground event rooms (7) and (8). Particularly when these multi ring areas oases are far outside of urban areas or in desert areas, additional ring-shaped areas can be planned, on which, for example, a) solar fields and energy storage facilities for energy supply, b) leisure parks with overnight accommodation, or c) completely new urban areas are located.
